A Brief Overview

Accountable for greeting and collecting necessary information to register patients.

What you will do

Collect and accurately record patient information, including personal details, medical history and insurance information.

Complete necessary procedures to create accounts, verify insurance coverage, collection of deductibles and co-pays and providing education on insurance eligibility.

Obtain necessary authorizations or referrals, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements.

Perform generalized secretarial duties as needed including, but not limited to: front desk reception, phone reception; word processing; collates, faxes, mails and assembles reports and documents, assists in the coordinating the schedule and appointments.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

High School or GED Equivalent

Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

Associate's Business Administration, Accounting, Health Information Management, Medical Assisting or a related field.

1-3 years related experience
